We purchased the Grade II listed former RBS bank building in late 2019 after its closure. As a protected building, it was important to us that every element of the restoration was sympathetic to its historic character. The redevelopment took over 14 months to secure planning consent — including converting the upstairs offices into two boutique C4 holiday let apartments — while the ground floor required extensive structural work to enable it to reopen as a restaurant.

Having lived locally, we were committed to breathing new life into the building and keeping it at the heart of the community through hospitality. Since opening in 2023, the business has flourished. We’ve been recognised by the AA and proudly secured a listing in the Michelin Guide. We’ve also welcomed notable visitors, including Louis Theroux and the lead singer of The Blossoms.
